First Impression: innisfree long wear cushion foundation
As a lot of you might know, innisfree have changed their formulas and packaging on their cushions in Singapore in August. During that launching period, the promotion at innisfree was to purchase a set of cushion (refill, casing and puff) you will get another casing for free. And one thing that is very special on this improved formula is that instead of the usual cushion casing, they have a array of seletion to choose from, which means that you will be able to customise your own cushion with 100 designs to choose from.
Today we will be reviewing the new formula long wear cushion.
The design that I have choosen is the brown and white dots.
It have the same color range and also this comes with a SPF 50+ PA+++ which is always a good
I got the usual puff for my long wear cushion. They right now have 2 different kind of puff and also a stamping sponge which looks like the new ones from Clio.
Here is how it looks on the inside. It is not the improved cushion like thosee innisfree with the inprints.
This is how I look before I have the cushion on. As you can see, my skin is a little red with some discoloration on my cheeks. Right now I do not have any active break outs.
This is how my skin looks after a layer of cushion on my face. It covers up my redness and most of my flaws. However, as you can see in the picture, there is still a little mark left on my cheeks which is also normally moew difficult to cover. (12pm)
After all the makeup is done with concealer and light eye makeup.
P.S I did not use primer and powder so that I can determine the actual lasting power of the cushion
First check in(1.40pm):
My skin still looks rather perfected and that the coverage is still pretty good. No dry patches and no oiliness.
2nd check in: (6.45pm)
After almost 7 hours of wear, my skin is begining to look oily on my T-zone, but otherwise all is good, no break down of foundation and no dry patches. (Do take note thaa I have combination skin thus I do have extreme oily T-zone and dry areas)
3rd and last check in (9.45pm)
The oil is till on my face as I did not blot at all. However, I have to say I am pleasantly surprised that by the end of the day, even with the oil, my foundation did not break down and my skin did not dry out from the foundation.
All in all, I am pretty impressed by the improved formula as it did not dry out my skin like the previous formula and that the lasting power is consider pretty good considering there is no primer underneath it and that I did not set my makeup with any powder. It lasted almost 10 hours on my skin. However, if you are those extremely oily type, you might want to consider using a matifying primer, powder or even setting spray to control the oil produced throughout the day.
I would recommend this for those with normal or combination skin. For dry skin, this formula might not be the most suitable for you. Oily skin you can use this provided you primer or set the foundation with a powder or setting spray.
Next up for innisfree will be a first impression on the new improved formula on the water glow cushion which I will do a seperate post on it.
That's all for now. Bye and I will see your all next time.
XOXO

Review: Silky Girl Moisture boost lipcolor balm
Hi peeps, I am back with a new review for a relatively new lip product that you will be able to see in the drugstores near you.
SILKY GIRL Moisture Boost Lipcolor Balm
This is one of the giant lip crayons that is quite popular among all the brands recently. One of the other more famous and known drugstore makeup brand is Revlon.
This line of lip color from silky girl is pretty new and they released 6 lip colors in this line. Out of the 6, I own 4 of them. Each of them retail for $11.90 sgd, which I think is pretty good price. And after a week of really putting all these lip colors to the test, I am hereby reviewing them to all of you.
First of all, I would like to say that I really do enjoy using this new line of lip color due to it being in the crayon form. What's good about giant lip crayons is that they have a pencil tip which really helps in terms of getting better control over how you want to apply your lip color.
One down side to these type of product is that you are unable to sharpen the tip of the product and sooner of later it will loose its shape and start to be like your normal lipstick.
05 Poppy
The first color is 05 poppy. It is a super wearable bright orange which is my fave out of all the 4 of them that I own. It will immediately give you a more radiant and healthier look.
02 Rose
This is a typical my lips but better color. it looks super natural and it is really low maintenance as the you can even apply this color without a need of a mirror and still you wont have to worry that you will go out of your original lip line.
05 coral
This is a bright coral color that is more towards the slightly orange red instead of a true coral, which makes it looks better as it will be slightly brighter. However, if you are too pale, as in you cant really find a foundation shade in the drugstore, this color might not be for you as it will make you look even paler and can make you look sickly.
06 wine
The camera is not really showing its true color for this last one. In real life, this is a real wine color that look slightly vampy with the slight hint of purple. This color is really unique in the drugstore as there are not much of this kind of color in the drugstore and in a jumbo crayon its a none. So if you are someone that love uniqueness, this color is for you.
In conclusion, I love this line of jumbo crayons lippies as they are super affordable, quality is great and they look great. I would highly recommend everyone to go to anywhere that sell Silky girl cosmetics and check it out.

How should you choose your skincare products and line?
Hi beauties, today I will answer a question that is being emailed to me by a couple of you and this is how I choose what products should I choose in the different skin conditions and weather conditions.
1. Know and understand your skin
Find out what's your is like is. Is it oily, oily-combination, normal, dry-combination or dry?
How your skin respond to the different weathers in your residential area?
Is your skin allergic to any substances that can be used in skincare products.
Answer this 3 questions to find out all about your skin.
2.Study the products
Before jumping in to buy a product, do some research on the product, especially on the ingredients that are being used to formulate the product. Check if you are allergic to any of the ingredients used. If you are, then that product is not for you. Also check the functions of the different ingredients to see whether the functions are what you are looking for.
3.Do not jump into conclusions.
One mistake that a lot of us make is that we jump into conclusion of products too soon. Some people once they try out a product for 2 days and they start breaking out, they will freak out and stop using the product. And now here I am, gonna tell you that it is a big mistake. Our skin can break out due to various reason and using a certain new product might not be the cause. The only way to find out whether a not your skin is reacting to the the product and broke out from it is to wait. A good 3-4 weeks will be a good period of time to try on new products.
4.Record
Write down your experience with the product. Good or bad, and at the end of the trial period, look back at it to see what it have down to your skin and then decide whether you will include it into your skincare routine.
I hope that this post will be useful and it answered all your questions about selecting the right skincare products. Will see all of you in my next post.

Summer makeup essentials!!
Hi beauties, I am back with a summer makeup essentials that I think is really useful for me which I would like to share with all of you.
First of all, in the summer time or in countries like Singapore where it is consistently hot and becoming even hotter in these few months, our makeup tends to not last as long or even melt down. So here are some products and steps which I like to use to help prevent makeup melt down.
1. Prime your face before putting on any makeup
I do not have any particular preference for primer as I think most of them work the same for me. However, if you are someone with really dry skin, skip this step or get a really hydrating primer. In the summer time, I do prefer using primer that will give a more dewy finish to my skin.
2. BB cream instead of foundation
Personally I would prefer lighter base makeup in the hotter months and thus BB cream instead of foundation. Having lighter makeup also allows your skin to breath and reduce breakout which often happen to teens in the hot summer weather.
The one that I am loving is the Water Fuse Blemish Base by Dr. Jart+. It have SPF 27 pa++ which is always a plus, it is dewy and makes my skin look extremely healthy and glowy. The best thing about this is that it helps me to control the oil on my face and keeps my makeup in place for a good 6 to 8 hours which a temperature of 39-42 degrees Celsius. I would seriously highly recommend this product if you have not tried this if you are able to get your hands on it.
3. Bronzer
A bronzed skin will makes you look a lot healthier and summer ready. It is one of the few things that will make a huge difference in your makeup without even you realizing it.
My current favorite bronzer of the moment is the Bourjois bronzing powder. It just adds the right amount of color without being too muddy or orange, it also have a little tiny bit of glitter which is not really noticeable but will just makes your skin look a lot more healthy and radiant. It gives just the perfect sun kissed look that i extremely adore right now. You can get this on ASOS singapore, however, I do not see it in stores so I am thinking that you can only get this online which I did get mine online.
4.Bright colored blush
A brighter colored blush just screams summer. Summer is all about having colors and fun, nothing beats having a pop of color on your cheeks and make you look really dolly.
My current fave is from Essence and it is their silky touch blush in 60 life's a cherry. Its a bright pink blush that is so pigmented that you will only need a tap with our blush in the product to get enough product all over your cheeks. This product is super long lasting as it does stain your cheeks but no worries it can be removed by makeup removal. The best thing about this blush is that you can get it from Watsons for $5.90 SGD which is insanely cheap. For that price, I seriously think that this blush is a win.
4. Cream eye shadows.
One thing about eye shadows that I do not enjoy in the summer is that when I sweat, my eye shadow tends to melt off my eyelids. Not only it is not pretty, it is also a pain to my eye. And the solution to this is cream eye shadow.
This is Maybelline Color tattoo in Inked in Pink. The color is extremely gorgeous, it is smooth and easy to apply. The best thing is that this stays put on my eyelid regardless of how much I sweat. It does not crease on me and it really stays till the end of the day when I remove my makeup at night. The more this can be easily found anywhere and also it comes with 8 different shades for you to choose from.

Nail of the moment
I got my nails done at phuket. I wanted something more Christmas so I chose a red sponge gradient with a white snowflake drawn on it.. Hope you all like it..

Here's a preview of what I will be posting this week:
